Alpha Phi (ΑΦ)

At a time when society looked upon women only as daughters, wives, and mothers and therefore, not in need of higher education, our ten founders were pioneers of the coeducational system. These women formed Alpha Phi in 1872 at Syracuse University. Today, the sisterhood of Alpha Phi stretches from coast to coast through 172 collegiate campuses and more than 200,000 members.

Eta Epsilon was founded at Villanova University im 1987, and has since been a strong chapter that stands by our six values: sisterhood, service, scholarship, leadership, loyalty and character development.

As an organization, Alpha Phi works together with the Alpha Phi Foundation to raise money for women's health and cardiac care. Our mission statement, taken from the Alpha Phi Foundation's website, is to advance women's lives through the power of philanthropy.

In the past three years, our chapter has been rewarded Top Eastern Quadrant Donor to the Alpha Phi Foundation. In the 2018-2019 school year, we raised $30,959.87, totaling our lifetime giving to $214,066.16. This money donated to the Alpha Phi Foundation has gone towards cardiac research, women’s educational grants and scholarships, and leadership trainings and programs. We are proud to make such an impact on an incredible organization.

The Eta Epsilon chapter puts on a series of events every year to promote awareness and raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation.

February – Heart Health Week

February – Mr. Heartthrob

February – Red Dress Gala

August/September – Acai with Alpha Phi

October – Phiesta Bowl

...That lasts a lifetime.

Alpha Phi allows her members to develop life-long friendships based on mutual support and unconditional love.  Alpha Phis enjoy the benefits of a sincere sisterhood throughout college and in every stage of their lives.

...Hand to hand and heart to heart.

Alpha Phi has long understood the value in serving others.  Alpha Phis across North America donate their time, efforts and dollars to assist those less fortunate.  The Alpha Phi Foundation is one of the oldest Greek foundations and works to build awareness and raise funds in support of women's heart health.

...For life and genuine support.

Alpha Phis are members for a lifetime and learn the value of loyalty and being true to Alpha Phi's values and ideals.
