Alpha Phi (ΑΦ)

At a time when society looked upon women only as daughters, wives, and mothers and therefore, not in need of higher education, our ten founders were pioneers of the coeducational system. These women formed Alpha Phi in 1872 at Syracuse University. Today, the sisterhood of Alpha Phi stretches from coast to coast through 157 collegiate campuses and more than 200,000 members.

Eta Epsilon was founded at Villanova University 25 years ago, and has since been a strong chapter who values sisterhood, service, scholarship, leadership, loyalty and character development.

As an organization, Alpha Phi works together with the Alpha Phi Foundation to raise money for women's health and cardiac care. Our mission statement, taken from the Alpha Phi Foundation's website, is to advance women's lives through the power of philanthropy.

In 2012, our chapter, Eta Epsilon, was rewarded Top Mid Atlantic Donor to Foundation. With tremendous support, we are able to advance the lives of women through philanthropic donation.

In the fall, we host a flag football tournament with a fraternity, Phiesta Bowl.

Every February is our annual black-tie silent auction, Red Dress Gala. Our family and friends come join us for a night of dancing, the night is always a huge success and brings not only us sisters, but our family and friends closer.  Also in the spring we are host Alpha Phiesta, a make-your-own burrito night sponsored by Qdoba. These events are the heart of our philanthropic donation. We hope that you are able to help us help women and find a cure for heart disease.

...That lasts a lifetime.

Alpha Phi allows her members to develop life-long friendships based on mutual support and unconditional love.  Alpha Phis enjoy the benefits of a sincere sisterhood throughout college and in every stage of their lives.

...Hand to hand and heart to heart.

Alpha Phi has long understood the value in serving others.  Alpha Phis across North America donate their time, efforts and dollars to assist those less fortunate.  The Alpha Phi Foundation is one of the oldest Greek foundations and works to build awareness and raise funds in support of women's heart health.

...For life and genuine support.

Alpha Phis are members for a lifetime and learn the value of loyalty and being true to Alpha Phi's values and ideals.
