Mykal Gerald

"The Office of Intercultural Affairs has become a place that gives me great comfort. As a member of the Martin Luther King Day of Service and a student who works closely with the office, OIA has been there every step of the way offering guidance, support and advice on both professional and personal levels. I am very excited to see them continue to grow as an office and a resource for all students on campus!"

"Dr. Berry and the entire OIA staff have gone above and beyond for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Committee. I am so grateful for their leadership and guidance as we plan a day ON, not a day off and as we move our NovaNation closer to the "Beloved Community" that Dr. King envisioned. "

The Office of Intercultural Affairs offers every Villanovan a space to explore their own cultural identity and how that identity lives in community with others’. The dynamic OIA team has introduced me to students with backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives different from my own, which has offered me the unique opportunity to share, learn, and grow with my peers in and through our differences. For this and their constant support – academic, personal, and professional - I will be forever grateful.

"I truly believe Dr. Berry and the Office of Intercultural Affairs have made a strong and positive impact on Villanova’s campus with their mission to promote and celebrate diversity in our community. As president of a newly formed cultural student organization, I cannot thank Dr. Berry enough for her guidance and efforts in fostering an inclusive environment in which FASA can grow in."

"Celina Alexander, along with the Office of Intercultural Affairs, has been extremely supportive and helpful to me and the rest of the Hispanic Society. They have shown great commitment and desire to unite us all and promote diversity here at Villanova. We are very grateful for all the efforts they've put in as well as for all the support they have given to the Puerto Ricans here on campus after the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. I'm looking forward to working with them for the rest of the year! "
