Farm Share at Villanova

Villanova Dining Services has partnered with Philly Foodworks, an online market and farm share program, to offer on-campus deliveries to the Villanova community.

Interested community members should set up an account with Philly Foodworks to order items from their online marketplace. If you would like to pick up your orders on-campus, you should select “Villanova University - St. Mary’s” as your pickup location when setting up your account.  Users can control their orders for each week through the online marketplace, ensuring they get exactly what they want for that week.

  • The marketplace opens Friday mornings for the following week’s delivery. Users looking to pick up on-campus should finalize their order by Tuesdays at 8AM for pickup that week.
  • The minimum order amount per week is $28.
  • The Villanova pickup will occur between Wednesdays at 4PM and Fridays at 8pm at Second Storey Market in St. Mary's Hall. Those who do not pick up during that time will have that week’s order donated.
  • Deliveries will be made to campus on Wednesday afternoons. Product quality cannot be guaranteed after the day of delivery.

About Philly Foodworks

Philly Foodworks is an online market and farm share program that is dedicated to creating a sustainable local food system for the Greater Philadelphia region.

In their online market, they offer the largest selection of local food in the Greater Philadelphia region (including fresh produce, meats, cheeses and other dairy products, baked goods, and more) — plus fully customizable farm share boxes.

Philly Foodworks chooses their market vendors by evaluating the quality of the products, the health and safety of the workers, and the farms’ or companies’ environmental impact. For the majority of the year their food is sourced within a 150-mile radius of Philadelphia.

Philly Foodworks aims to:

  • Make high-quality, sustainably produced food available to consumers year-round.
  • Support local farmers and producers.
  • Reduce food waste.
  • Increase food access for those in need.
