Technology to Enhance Learning

How to Get Read & Write Gold

Read & Write Gold is available to all students, faculty, and staff. This software has a number of features such as speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and study skills tools. If you need accessible texts, please refer to our guidelines for how to access texts in an alternate format. Accessing Notetaking Technology

Students who are approved for notetaking accommodations may be interested in exploring the following assistive technology options that allow you to record lectures.

Explore OneNote, a notetaking tool that is available to all students and can be accessed using your Villanova username and password. OneNote enables you to record a lecture and organize your notes in this Microsoft Office platform.

Check out how LiveScribe Smart Pens, AudioNote, and Notability can provide you with a tool that allows you to record and time-stamp your notes so you do not need to playback the entire recording to find the section that you want to review. To learn how to access these assistive technology options, please refer to our guidelines on Notetaking Accommodations.

If you need additional assistive technology, please contact learning.support.services@villanova.edu as soon as possible to discuss your needs.
