Lorenzini Family Leadership Ambassador Program

Applications Open

In keeping with our vision to cultivate an environment in which Villanovans speak out to challenge gender-based assumptions, the McNulty Institute is looking for individuals who are passionate about creating change and advancing women leaders to serve as our 2020-2021 Lorenzini Leadership Ambassadors.

What does a Lorenzini Leadership Ambassador do?
Ambassadors agree to promote and disseminate the work of the Institute, both in-person and through social or other media. They act as advocates for advancing women’s leadership on campus and in their communities by speaking out again inequities. To further their own leadership and professional development, ambassadors complete a Leadership Learning Experience - a year long project that addresses a root cause of gender inequity and advances the mission of the Institute. Ambassadors also have the opportunity to facilitate leadership chats on varied topics related to gender and leadership and assist in the planning and execution of Institute initiatives.

Who can be an ambassador?
The Ambassador position is open to all current undergraduate and graduate students across the gender spectrum and from diverse identities, who are passionate about creating change and advancing women leaders.

Benefits of being an ambassador:

  • Leadership Academy with tools to advocate for change
  • Networking and mentoring opportunities
  • Latest updates on gender and leadership issues
  • Access to Institute events and programs
  • Commit to no less than one year (exceptions for those looking to study abroad or rising seniors who are graduating early)
  • Attend The McNulty Institute's Leadership Academy (tentatively August 19-21)
  • Complete a Leadership Learning Experience and Personalized Leadership Plan
