2018 Villanova Undergraduate Research Symposium
- When? Friday, September 21, 2018 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
- Where? Villanova Room, Connelly Center
- Who? All Villanova students who engaged in undergraduate research during the Summer of 2018 are strongly encouraged to share their work.
- Posters do not need to be from individual researchers; they may represent a group of researchers who worked on the same project.
Submit your abstract here by Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Note: if multiple students will present under one poster, the abstract should be submitted by one representative with all names listed.
Creating and Printing Your Poster:
Beginning in 2018, the Center for Research and Fellowships will coordinate and fund poster printing for all students through an external vendor. Students must submit their poster file to CRF@villanova.edu no later than September 1. Once posters are printed, students will pick them up in CRF (Garey Hall 38). If students do not submit their files by September 1, then CRF will not pay for the poster printing, though students are welcome to print their posters with another vendor.
Students should coordinate with faculty mentors on their preferred vendor for printing posters; some departments prefer specific vendors or have in-house printing capabilities. CRF covers the printing fee only for students who submit their poster files by September 1 to CRF@villanova.edu for printing with the designated external vendor. CRF will not reimburse students who have posters printed by other vendors or who do not submit their files in time.
Poster Setup and Removal:
Students are welcome to set their posters up beginning at noon on the day of the Symposium. If students are unable to set up their posters before 1:00 p.m., please email CRF (email@example.com) to make alternate arrangements for poster set-up. Poster stands will be provided by the University. All posters must be removed from the Villanova Room between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
