Senior math major Tasha Boland received a VURF travel grant to present her research at the Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Math in February 2017.
On Tasha's conference experience:
"The Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Math was an incredible experience. It was really exciting to give a presentation and share research we had been working on all semester. We met women with degrees in math who work in academia and industry. The conference consisted of presentations by other undergraduates, plenary talks, panels with women representing a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and a banquet. It was really encouraging to see all of the different possibilities for a woman pursuing a degree in math. I am so grateful for this experience and will always be grateful to CRF for making this opportunity possible!"
