Stephanie Neumann received a VURF travel grant to present her research at the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Conference.
On her experience:
"I just wanted to say thank you to Villanova for providing me with a travel grant to present my research at ASBMB in San Diego, CA. Presenting my poster two times during the conference really helped enhance my presenting skills. Professionals that I spoke to gave helpful suggestions as to how to continue with my project. My classmates and I also enjoyed getting tattoos of anatomical structures on our arms and getting as much free science stuff as we could at all of the vendors!! There was one talk that I went to about the causes of heterotopic ossification that really captured my interest. The conference really allowed me to explore my interests of not only biochemistry, but anatomy and nutrition as well. Thanks again to Villanova for giving me one of the best weeks of my life!! Looking forward to going back!"
