Summer Session Visiting Students Application

Thank you for your interest in taking a course at Villanova University this summer! If you are a visitor from another college or university, you will need to complete an application before you are able to register for any courses. Once you've completed the visiting student application, you will receive an email confirmation with follow-up instructions.

Academic advisement or the transferability of a Villanova summer course to the visiting student's college/degree program is the responsibility of the student.

NOTE! If you are a high school student, or if you wish to complete a degree or post graduate certificate program through the College of Professional Studies, visit the application page to select the correct program.


How to Apply

    1. Choose the option to create a new account.
    2. Check your email for your new password.
    3. Log on to the registration page.
    4. Complete the form.
    5. Click the Submit button.
    6. Check your email for confirmation.


Registration Process

All students, with the exception of new Villanova students, are highly encouraged to register via the MyNOVA system.

Obtaining a PIN. Visiting students will receive a PIN electronically via email after applying online to Summer Session. 

Course Registration. Students will log into MyNOVA with the user ID and password provided to them from UNIT. Students will then use the following process:

  • Search for My Schedule and Registration area
  • Use the Search for Classes link to see available courses
  • Once you've selected the course you want to take, go back to the Student Registration Menu and select Login to registration
  • Use the dropdown box to select summer
  • Input PIN number
  • If the CRN (course registration number) is known, enter it in the space provided on the Add Classes Worksheet and hit the Submit Changes button. If you do not know the CRN, use the Class Search button to find a class.


Transferring Credit - Students from other Universities and Colleges who wish to transfer Villanova summer credits to their schools should make appropriate arrangements with offi cials at their schools. For graduate students, a current transcript and a letter from their dean to the Graduate Studies Office of Villanova University is required. Certain graduate courses have prerequisites, and visiting students must be approved by the department chair and the Graduate Studies Office before admittance. Undergraduates wishing to take a graduate course must have senior status, a 3.0 cumulative average, and permission of the instructor, course chair, advisor, student’s dean, and graduate dean in order to enroll in graduate courses.


Students dismissed from Villanova University may not attend Summer Sessions.
