Villanova's Department of Computing Sciences offers an undergraduate program leading to a Bachelors of Science (BIS) degree in Computer Science. The BIS in Computer Science degree is designed to academically prepare individuals who are seeking careers in software development.

Villanova’s computer science program emphasizes the theory, abstraction and application of computing. Central to computer science is the investigation of algorithms, their complexity and the data structures on which they operate. Villanova’s computer science major is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc.
