The Associate of Arts (AA) is an undergraduate degree program designed for students who want a rigorous and diverse general curriculum. You will take courses in a broad range of disciplines, studying the Humanities, Social Sciences, Math, Natural Sciences, Language, Culture, and Fine Arts. Additionally, you can customize your academic plan with electives catered to your professional and personal interests.
This post-secondary academic credential positions you for career advancement, and may be a first step towards earning your Bachelor's degree. An Associate's degree is also an appropriate pursuit for students who may be undecided on a major and still exploring their interests and career options.
The AA degree requires students to complete 20 courses and a minimum of 60 credits, 30 of which must be taken at Villanova University. Up to 30 credits can be transferred from an accredited institution.
You can complete your Associate's degree in-person on Villanova's campus, online, or as a hybrid program.
Many courses within the degree are also offered as accelerated FastForward courses, which run for seven weeks and enable students to finish at a faster pace.
