Please note that other area colleges will be holding graduation ceremonies during this same time period. Traffic conditions will be congested. Guests are urged to arrive early and to car pool or use public transportation.
Public Transportation - SEPTA
We highly recommend this convenient way to travel to campus during Commencement weekend. Guests should consider using the Paoli/Thorndale Regional Rail service to Villanova station or the Norristown High-speed Line service to the Stadium or Villanova stops.There is also a service from the Airport to campus via the Visit the SEPTA website to map your trip.
If you plan to use Uber or carpool to campus for Commencement weekend, the designated Uber drop- off and pick-up location for Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 there are two drop off locations. One drop-off point is the Lancaster Avenue entrance of the I-1 lot and the other is the S-3 lot. If you use Uber, a limited number of $5 discounts are available for the weekend, using the code (TBD in May).
Commencement Weekend Parking - PASSES REQUIRED
Each graduate will have the opportunity to sign up for two parking passes on the Commencement Registration form. The parking passes will be for a designated parking lot and will be distributed at the Graduation Fair on April 21, 2020 in the Connelly Center, Villanova Room (for undergraduate students) and via the online order for Caps and Gowns (for graduate students).
On-campus parking will be limited and every vehicle must have Commencement parking pass to enter campus on Friday afternoon and Saturday. Parking passes are also required for the Radnor Financial Center and a shuttle service will be available.
Accessible Parking & Drop Off Areas
Guests with limited mobility may utilize the special needs drop-off locations located near each ceremony venue. No special passes are needed for vehicles to access the drop-off locations. Once passengers are dropped-off, the driver will then be directed to park in an assigned parking lot.
Vehicles with state-issued handicapped placards may park in designated accessible parking spaces and lots, based on availability. Handicapped license plates or placards must be clearly displayed to access these lots/spaces.
Shuttles will be available near all ceremony venues and parking lots during Commencement Weekend and will run on a continual basis.
