Dietary lapses are specific instances of nonadherence from a prescribed weight control diet. Lapses are extremely common and, until this point, have been considered a normal part of any weight loss attempt. However, recent research shows that lapses, even small ones, can have serious consequences for long-term weight loss outcomes. This webinar covers novel research on dietary lapses and begins to explore potential evidence-based interventions for reducing lapses and improving weight outcomes. Participants will leave the webinar better informed on dietary lapses and how best to prevent, manage and reverse them in clinical practice.
