Annual Auction to Benefit the Walter Lucas Public Interest Fellowship Program
The Walter Lucas Public Interest Fellowship Program (PIFP) of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law will host the 2016 PIFP Auction on Friday, April 1. This year marks the 19th anniversary of the event, PIFP’s largest and most successful fundraiser. The silent auction will begin at 6 p.m. and the live auction at 8 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome.
A student-led organization, PIFP is dedicated to supporting student legal work in the public interest sector. All auction proceeds will go toward providing $4,500 fellowships to students who commit their summers to performing public service legal work. PIFP also awards one $12,000 fellowship to a recent graduate who has committed to working full-time for a public service organization or governmental agency.
This year's event features hundreds of donated items, including a day of sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, The Dr. Oz Show VIP tickets, a night at Lucky Strike Bowling, tickets to the Philadelphia Theatre Company and Opera Philadelphia, box suite seats to a Trenton Thunder baseball game and much more. The auction will also feature live music from bands ZZ Tort and Gminor
Please join PIFP in helping public interest organizations deliver volunteer legal services to those in need throughout the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond. Click here to learn how you can be part of the auction and help support summer fellows.
