In the study of law, there is no substitute for real-world experience. And when it comes to giving students hands-on opportunities, there is simply no place like Villanova University School of Law.

At Villanova, our externship placements go beyond the typical non-profit organizations and government agencies to encompass opportunities at Big Law firms and multinational corporations. Apply to work at one of more than 40 established and approved field placements, or propose your own, and we will work with you to create the externship of your dreams.

As an extern, you will develop essential lawyering skills, expand your network and explore career paths. Many students develop relationships with mentors and colleagues that endure long after law school.

“Villanova students quickly grasp complicated legal issues and have excellent research, writing and analytical skills,” said Katherine J. Dickinson, Associate General Counsel, Wawa Inc. “They take great pride in all that they do and always deliver the highest caliber work product. They are also professional and personable individuals who integrate easily into Wawa’s in-house department.”
