Following her graduation from Villanova Law in 2012, Angela M. Hrusovsky joined the legal team in-house at Bose Corporation, an innovative global business that is one of the largest and best-known audio-technology developers and manufacturers in the U.S. and around the world. Angela’s practice is centralized in general corporate law and commercial real estate matters. During her time at Villanova Law, Angela worked in the Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic, completed a judicial externship at the Essex County Probate and Family Court and interned in-house for PerkinElmer, Inc. and Bose Corporation.  Angela is an active member of the Villanova Law and Boston College alumni communities.

Matthew A. Homyk ’11 is an associate at Blank Rome LLP, where he concentrates his practice in intellectual property matters and related business issues confronting companies and individuals in many industries—including fashion, e-commerce, social networking, insurance, musical instruments and building materials. He was recently named one of Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2016 “40 Under 40,” which recognizes young professionals in the Greater Philadelphia region for outstanding success and contributions to their community. Homyk also teaches trademark law as an Adjunct Professor at Villanova Law and is a member of the Radnor Township Zoning Hearing Board.

Michelle Vanek '09 has served as Assistant Counsel of the Office of the Legislative Counsel of the United States House of Representatives since 2009. In that capacity, she drafts Federal legislation for the members and committees of the House specializing in various areas of law, including the areas of agriculture, food and drugs, health care, and campaign finance.  At Villanova Law she was an active member of both the Pro Bono Society and PIFP as well as a member of the National Trial Team.

After Villanova Law and a federal district court clerkship, Joseph O. Larkin ’06 joined one of the world’s largest corporate law firms, Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP. Over the past seven years at Skadden Arps, Mr. Larkin has represented companies and their boards in some of the largest transactions in history, including Anheuser-Busch in its $52 billion merger with InBev, and MacAndrews & Forbes in the recent groundbreaking decision from the Delaware Supreme Court that established a new standard for reviewing controlling stockholder mergers. Mr. Larkin currently concentrates his practice on corporate litigation with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, controlling stockholder going-private transactions, hostile takeovers, proxy contests and other “bet the company” disputes.

Salman Al-Sudairi '03 is a partner at the international law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP. He previously held the position of Office Managing Partner of Latham's Riyadh office and also practiced in the firm’s New York office, where he was a member of the Banking and Project Finance Practice. Salman is a US and Saudi Arabian-qualified finance and corporate lawyer with a focus on sophisticated financing transactions, including leveraged financings, project financings, Islamic financings, restructurings and capital markets transactions. He also advises Saudi Arabian and international clients in complex commercial transactions in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region in a wide range of industries, including energy, retail, manufacturing, defense, telecommunications, healthcare and hospitality.

Jill Weiner '03 is the Vice President of Compliance for Fidelity Charitable Services at Fidelity Investments, the largest mutual fund company in the United States. She is also the Chief Compliance Officer of the Fidelity Investments Charitable Gift Fund and serves as the organization's legislative expert. Prior to joining Fidelity in 2005, Jill worked for the Delaware law firm of Tybout Redfearn & Pell. While at Villanova Law, Jill was an associate in both the Farmworkers Legal Aid and Federal Income Tax Clinics, and served as an intern at the Civil Branch of the New York State Supreme Court. She also received the Faculty Recognition Award for outstanding contribution to the school.

Sara L. Woods '00 currently serves as the Executive Director of Philadelphia Futures, a nonprofit organization that provides Philadelphia's low-income, first-generation-to-college students with tools necessary for admission to and success in college. She was formerly Executive Director of Philadelphia VIP, which provides high quality pro bono legal representation to low income clients with critical legal needs. Before joining VIP in 2007, she served as the Director of Public Service Careers & Pro Bono Programs at Villanova University School of Law for five years. Prior to her tenure at Villanova, Sara worked as a staff attorney at Women Against Abuse Legal Center and the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County. She is an adjunct Professor at Villanova Law, an active volunteer with New Directions for Women and Women's Way and  is a member of the Advisory Board of the Crime Victims Law Project.

Michael H. Gold '99 serves as the lead transactional lawyer for NHL Enterprises, LP, the licensing and marketing arm of the National Hockey League. He joined NHLE's Intellectual Property group in 2001 after beginning his career as Legal Counsel for Major League Soccer LLC following graduation from Villanova Law. Michael is now responsible for overseeing all aspects of NHLE's legal affairs, primarily focusing on sponsorship, merchandising, new media, broadcasting, production, special events as well as a range of League-wide policy matters. At Villanova Law, Michael was a published managing editor of the Villanova Law Sports & Entertainment Law Journal and credits Villanova Law contacts for helping to launch his career in sports law.

Cathleen Kelly Rebar '98 is a founding member, shareholder and managing partner of Stewart Bernstiel Rebar & Smith in Blue Bell, PA. In that role she focuses her attention on defending professional liability actions in PA, NJ and NY. Cathleen previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Delaware County District Attorney's Office in Pennsylvania and later joined the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General as a Deputy Attorney General for the Eastern Region of Pennsylvania, where she prosecuted neglect in the long-term care sectors and healthcare fraud. Cathleen is also an elected Magisterial District Judge in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where she currently serves portions of the western population of Montgomery County.

Julie S. Lu ’98 is an Attorney Advisor on the Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Management Staff in the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), U.S. Department of Justice. In this role, she advises EOUSA and the U.S. Attorney’s Offices nation-wide on EEO related issues, provides oversight to non-attorney staff, conducts training and supports efforts to increase workforce diversity. Prior to joining EOUSA, Ms. Lu was an Attorney in the Claims and Employment Law Branch, General Law Division, Office of the General Counsel, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  From 1999 to 2004, she was a litigator in the trial department at Duane Morris LLP.

With more than 15 years of mergers and acquisitions, securities and complex commercial experience, Winters is now General Counsel & Secretary for Kynetic LLC, a company focused on building consumer Internet businesses.

Nancy Peterson '97 is Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for AlliedBarton Security Services, the largest national security guard firm in the U.S. She previously served as General Counsel for a nationwide candy manufacturer and licensing company and as Assistant General Counsel for ARAMARK Corporation in the Sports and Entertainment business. In 2002 she received the Forum Award from The Forum of Executive Women and was honored with a Lawyers on the Fast Track Award by The Legal Intelligencer. While at Villanova Law, Nancy received the Herman Schwartz Award.

In 2014, Villanova's JD/MBA Program was named for one of its graduates, Reza Taleghani '97 JD/MBA, in recognition of his generous support of Villanova University. He is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Brightstar Corp., where he is responsible for overall leadership of the company’s global finance function, including financial planning, treasury, accounting, tax, financial reporting and internal audit functions. Taleghani joined Brightstar from J.P. Morgan, where he launched his career shortly after graduating from Villanova. A seventeen-year veteran of the firm, he held leadership roles in several of the J.P. Morgan’s divisions with a career spanning investment banking, commercial banking and asset management.

Honorable Sheldon K. Rennie '97 is a judge in the Court of Common Pleas for New Castle County, Delaware. He was appointed by Governor Jack Markell in June of 2013 and took the bench in July, 2013. Prior to becoming a judge, Sheldon was a partner with the law firm Fox Rothschild, LLP. During that time, Sheldon represented national and international clients in the areas of Delaware corporate and business litigation and creditor’s rights. While at Villanova Law, Sheldon served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Environmental Law Journal and was also the 1995 recipient of the Louis L. Redding Fellowship.

Jane North '91 spent 23 years as a trial attorney in Philadelphia, trying products liability, construction and premises cases. She was the first female partner at Deasey, Mahoney, Valentini & North, becoming a shareholder in 2000, managing partner in 2004 and a named partner in 2007. Jane recently accepted a new appointment with Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a leading property and casualty and professional liability insurance company for niche markets, as their Sr. Vice-President of Claims, overseeing claims nationwide and reporting to the Chief Claims Officer.

Nancy Jardini '88, is Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at Fannie Mae, the leading source of residential mortgage credit in the U.S. She is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the company's compliance and ethics organization. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2007, Nancy was the Chief of Criminal Investigation at the Internal Revenue Service, where she directed staff worldwide, including special agents who investigated criminal tax violations, Bank Secrecy Act violations, money laundering, and other financial crimes. Prior to her tenure at the IRS, she was a federal prosecutor specializing in large-scale white-collar criminal investigations and prosecutions.

Paul A. Tufano ’86 began his legal career with Blank Rome, representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. He now serves as the new Chairman and CEO of AmeriHealth Caritas, a national Medicaid managed care company owned by Independence Blue Cross and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Before joining Independence Blue Cross, Tufano was General Counsel of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for Governor Tom Ridge from 1995 to 1999. Tufano also serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Villanova University and is a member of Villanova Law’s Board of Consultors.

Wells is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company and for providing guidance and strategic counsel to the senior management team on general business matters. Previously, Wells was Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Environmental Tectonics Corporation (ETC). Wells also worked at ARAMARK for more than 20 years, where he rose to serve as Vice President and Associate General Counsel.

The Honorable Kathleen A. Frederick '83 practiced business, real estate, and employment law in southeastern Pennsylvania for 18 years before moving to Alaska in 2002. In 2011, she began working in the public sector as one of two statewide attorneys litigating elder fraud cases. Judge Frederick was appointed to the position of Chief Administrative Law Judge for the State of Alaska by Governor Parnell in 2014; the Office of Administrative hearings where she works hears cases in 66 different subject areas and has eleven judges based in Juneau and in Anchorage.

Quigley, Jr. '82 serves as the President of Curry College in Milton, MA.  Ken also serves as the immediate Past Chair of the Board of Trustees of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), serves  as a member of the Board of Trustees of the New England Council, Xaverian Brothers High School, Rodman Ride for Kids, Inc. and is an Honorary Director of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He is also an experienced public company director serving as an independent director on the Boards of companies listed on both the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.

Mr. Brogan is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers and International Academy of Trial Lawyers and has been named as one of Philadelphia’s Best Lawyers by The Legal Intelligencer.

Charles J. Dunlap Jr. ’75 is a Professor of the Practice of Law and the Executive Director of the Center on Law, Ethics and National Security at Duke Law. His teaching and scholarly writing focus on national security, international law, civil-military relations, cyberwar, airpower, counter-insurgency, military justice and ethical issues related to the practice of national security law. Prior to teaching, Dunlap spent more than 34 years in the Air Force as a military lawyer, during which his practice included everything from leading legal offices both in the U.S. and abroad, to serving as military judge, to participating in several operations in the Middle East and Africa.
