Is there a spell check?

Yes. Look for the green checkmark and the words “Check Spelling” in blue on the right side of your screen on any tab in any form. Click on the link to toggle spell check for the entire form. Any incorrect words will be highlighted in red throughout the form, so don’t forget to click from tab to tab to look for any misspelled words. To exit the spell check view, click “Resume Editing”.

How often should I save my work?

It is recommended that you save your work often. Click the Save Draft button at the bottom of each tab, or select “Save Draft” from the blue Actions button at the top of the form. Whenever you click “Next” in a form, your work will automatically save.  You will see a light green bar across the top of your screen confirming this is the case.  If you do not see that bar, your work has not been saved, and you will need to click the “Save Draft” button. Note that the system will automatically log you out after two (2) hours of inactivity, and any unsaved work will be lost.

The text box is too small. Is there any way to make it bigger?

Yes, as long as you are using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your browser. You can adjust the size of any text box by moving your cursor to the lower right corner of the box, where you will see two small diagonal lines. All you need to do is grab that corner with your mouse and stretch the box to the size you wish.

I am writing an evaluation for an employee, and my supervisor wants to read and review the evaluation before I finalize it for the employee. Is there a way I can do that without printing a hard copy?

Yes. When you have the employee’s evaluation open in draft form, click on “Add Co-Reviewer” at the top of the screen. You can then type in the last name of your supervisor in the box. Select the name of the correct individual, and then click Save.  Your supervisor will now be able to read – and edit – the employee’s review.

What does the “Return” button at the bottom of my acknowledgement form mean?

The Return button will send the form back to your supervisor with your comments or questions. If you have a question or concern about the form you’ve been asked to acknowledge, simply put your comments into the box provided, and click Return. This will send your comments back to your supervisor for their consideration, and allow them to edit the form if they choose.

A performance cycle begins at the end of your last performance appraisal, and ends whenever you are evaluated again. This varies by department and individual, but is often March to March.
