Frequently Asked Questions

HireRight Pre-Employment Screening

What email will HireRight use to contact me?

HireRight sends their invitation and follow-up information requests from noreply@hireright.com.

How long will HireRight take to complete my pre-employment screening?

There is no standard completion time for the HireRight Pre-Employment Screening. The timing can vary from several days to several weeks. Once the information is submitted by the finalist and the background clearance process is started by Villanova, turnaround time is no longer dictated by the University and can vary and be delayed due to a number of factors including:

  • Locations where the individual lived
  • County and state response times
  • Educational and employer response times

After the results are received by the University, the report needs to be reviewed and depending on the data received, may need to be investigated further.

I have a technical question and need to contact HireRight. What number should I call?

Individuals needing to reach HireRight's Customer Service can call the following number: 1 (866) 521-6995.

PA Act 153: Child Abuse History Clearance Application

My payment code is not working - may I have a new one?

Please ensure you are entering your payment code where prompted at the end of the application, and not in the field for Keystone ID. If you are receiving an error message for an invalid payment code, you may respond to the instructional email you received from clearances@villanova.edu directly to request a new payment code. We reissue payment codes over email only due to the lengthiness of the alphanumeric codes.

Do I need to submit the results of my Child Abuse History Clearance to HR after I complete the application?

Your use of the payment code provides the University with access to the clearance; you do not need to submit a printed version of this clearance to Human Resources.

PA Act 153: FBI Fingerprint Clearance Application

My payment code is not working - may I have a new one?

If you are receiving an error message for an invalid payment code, you may respond to the instructional email you received from clearances@villanova.edu directly to request a new payment code. Does Human Resources receive a copy of my FBI Fingerprint Clearance from the Department of Human Services?

The University does not receive copies of the FBI Fingerprint Clearance. The only version of the clearance is mailed to the clearance applicant at the address they provided IdentoGO during registration. To ensure that the Department of Human Services has the correct address on file for you, please call DHS directly and press 1 to speak to a representative: 1-877-371-5422.

DHS experiences high volume between 12-1:30 PM; we recommend calling outside those hours to avoid wait times.
