Important Retirement Plan Changes Effective June 1, 2020

This notice serves as a Summary of Material Modifications to the 403(b) Plan, describing Plan changes. This Summary of Material Modifications supplements and updates the Summary Plan Description of the 403(b) Plan. You should keep this Summary of Material Modifications with the Summary Plan Description in your permanent records. The Villanova University Retirement Savings Plan will be amended accordingly.

  • NOVAfit! Portal - provides access to the wellness program.
  • TIAA CREF/Villanova Microsite - enroll and make changes to investments and salary deferrals in your 403(b) Retirement Plan
  • Life Events & New Hire Benefits:  Please email the benefits team if you have recently been hired or have had a qualified life event and need to enroll in or update your benefits.

myNOVA: Update your contact information, view and print your pay stub, or check on your available vacation time and more on the Work@VU tab on myNova. Use your LDAP/email user name and password to login.

Employment:
View job postings and apply for positions at our online hiring site. Villanova managers should log into our internal hiring site to create and approve electronic requisitions, and view applications.

Hotline:
If you have a complaint or concern you would like to report anonymously, please contact the Ethics Point Hotline which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The hotline, provided through a third party, allows you to report any instance of misconduct in the workplace or classroom setting due to mismanagement of funds, fraud or other violation of law or University policy.

403(b) Plan Roth Contribution Option

 

The TIAA Roth Workshops scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, at 11:00 and 2:00, have been canceled. Instead, TIAA will present a live webinar on Wednesday, March 18, at 11:00am. Registration is required. If you previously registered for the on-campus workshops, you will receive an email from TIAA with registration information. New participants may click here to register.

American Heritage Credit Union 

American Heritage Credit Union is offering a Member Relief Loan to assist employees through the COVID-19 crisis. Features of the Member Relief Loan include:

  • A personal loan up to $5,000 for rent, utilities, food and supplies, childcare and other needs.
  • Deferred payments for first two statement cycles, followed by 18-month repayment schedule.
  • Existing members and employees of Villanova University are eligible to apply.
  • Options available for furloughed members.
  • Employment status and credit history will help determine eligibility.

If you are not currently a member of the credit union, you can easily complete your membership application while applying for the Member Relief Loan. To learn more about the credit union’s relief programs, go to www.americanheritageCU.org/update.
