In preparation for our community’s return to campus this fall, Villanova has established health and safety requirements consistent with prevailing CDC and other guidance to minimize the spread of COVID-19 on campus. These campus-wide measures will include temperature checks, social distancing, wearing masks or other facial coverings, using PPE, not reporting to work or class if symptomatic, getting tested, and quarantining or isolating as necessary.
Following these protocols will help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 at Villanova, but we want you to understand that Villanova cannot guarantee a environment free of COVID-19, and coming onto campus may involve some risk of contracting COVID-19. Accordingly, we suggest that students who do not feel comfortable or safe returning to campus this fall consider an online learning platform, deferring on-campus attendance, or contacting the University to discuss possible accommodations.
For the Fall 2020 semester, Villanova plans to use a hybrid format of in-person and online courses, but this could change due to the coronavirus pandemic. If the University needs to move to a fully online format for all or part of the semester, the set tuition and fees will remain the same. These are provided in exchange for accredited educational instruction, academic credit and certain non-academic services that Villanova will continue to deliver whether in person, remotely, or in a hybrid format.
The tuition and fees charged help fund ongoing University operations, including the delivery of instruction and the cost of services for Villanova students such as financial aid, registration, and remote academic advising and support. Even as campus operations have been adjusted in response to COVID-19, many of the costs covered by Villanova’s fees will continue.
Health Insurance Needed
All domestic undergraduate matriculated students, all international students, and all law school students must be covered by health insurance. If you are one of these students at Villanova University, you must either enroll in our school sponsored plan or show proof of other comparable coverage and waive out of the Villanova University sponsored plan. If you fail to waive the Villanova sponsored plan before September 14, 2020, you will be enrolled in this insurance plan automatically and you will be billed and responsible to reimburse Villanova for the cost of this health insurance plan purchased on your behalf.
If you are a Nursing, School of Business, Engineering, or Arts and Science Undergraduate Students, an international student or a Law School Student, please click here for more detailed information.
