Students applying for the 2019-2020 Academic Year must complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA.

Complete the Villanova University Graduate Student Supplemental Application for Loan Assistance and submit it to the Office of Financial Assistance at least 2 months prior to the first day of classes to ensure the timely disbursement of your Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan.
This application allows our office to create your cost of attendance and certify your Federal Direct Loan evenly among the semesters that you will be attending to certify your Federal Direct Loan evenly among the semesters that you will be attending for the academic year.
Please Note: If you change your enrollment of the amounts of credits that you will be enrolled for you must submit a revised application to our office.
After you have successfully submitted the FAFSA and the Villanova University Graduate Student Supplemental Application for Loan Assistance, our office will determine and award your Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan eligibility for the year. You will receive an email advising you to log onto your MyNova account to view your offered awards. In your award letter will be a link to the Financial Aid Booklet for Graduate Students, please carefully read this booklet in its entirety for it contains important information regarding eligibility, financing options, etc.

If this is the first time you are receiving a Federal Direct Loan at Villanova University as a Graduate Student, you must complete Entrance Counseling and Sign the Master Promissory Note online at https://studentloans.gov.
Please Note: Your Federal Direct Loan will NOT disburse to your account until BOTH of these requirements are complete.
If your Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan does not cover the balance due, you may want to consider the available Financing Options, such as: TMS Payment Plan, Federal Graduate PLUS Loan, and/or a Private Educational Loan.
