A Master of Science in Sustainable Engineering (MSSE) is a five-year option with a bachelor’s degree in any of the College’s major disciplines. Students interested in the BS/MSSE combined degree program should contact Director of Sustainable Engineering, William Lorenz.
Five-Year BS/MS Program in Electrical Engineering
Full-time undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.00 have the option of applying for admission into the five-year combined Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree program.
Students will earn a BS degree after four years of study and complete the 30-credit requirement for the MS degree with one additional year of work.
Typical Five-Year Plan
- Complete three graduate courses (9 credits) during senior year.
- Complete the remaining 21 credits of graduate study over the 12-month period following the senior year.
- All graduate courses in this program must be taken at Villanova University.
Students interested in the BS/MS program should contact the department’s Graduate Program Advisor (currently Dr. Ahmad Hoorfar) as early as possible during their undergraduate studies.
Students formally apply to the BS/MS program in the spring semester of junior year. Notification of admission status comes with successful completion of that year. Admitted students coordinate their course plan for the fourth and fifth years with the undergraduate and graduate advisors.
