Externship/Leadership programs typically include a 3-5 day on-site experience that provides exposure to professional skill-building, opportunities to network and an overview of career paths within the company/industry. At the conclusion of the program, select students may be offered an internship for the following summer. All externship/leadership programs are non-credit bearing.

Employers seeking top talent are targeting students earlier in their college careers. By participating in externship/leadership programs as a freshmen or sophomores, students have an early advantage in observing an employer site, making employer connections, and potentially receiving an internship offer for the following summer. These programs also allow students to reflect on potential opportunities and rule out employers and industries in which they may not want to work.
