Villanova, PA, January 7, 2015 – The Villanova School of Business (VSB) was recognized among the top schools on the U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Online Degree Programs: Graduate Business” ranking, earning the #6 spot in the U.S. In addition to #6 overall, VSB also scored well in the “Student Services and Technology” category coming in at #4, and in the “Student Engagement” category at #8.
Villanova’s success in this ranking validates the VSB’s ability to deliver a high-quality online experience for our students, and underscores the strength of our faculty, curriculum, students and support services. The U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of online business programs takes into account the reputation of the program among high-ranking academic officials in business through a peer survey administered each fall. The ranking’s methodology also emphasizes student engagement, admission selectivity, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology capabilities.
Much of the data supplied for this non-MBA graduate program ranking was based on VSB’s Master of Science in Church Management (MSCM) program, an innovative, two-year online graduate business program designed to enable church leaders to apply sound business principles to church management-related issues and decision making.
"The program provides a convenient, interactive and effective business education experience for our students,” said Charles Zech, PhD, director of the Center for Church Management and Business Ethics, as well as the MSCM program faculty director. "Our faith-based approach to business provides students with the tools to be successful in carrying out their church's mission. I am glad to see our faculty, students, curriculum and online delivery recognized for its high standards and quality."
