Vice Dean of VSB Announced

Villanova, PA, August 5, 2013 – Daniel Wright, PhD, associate professor in and chairperson of the Management and Operations department, has been named the Vice Dean of the Villanova School of Business, effective August 22.

As Vice Dean, Dr. Wright will manage VSB faculty and academic affairs by providing oversight and strategic vision (in consultation with the Dean) on all matters related to VSB faculty, academic programs and professional accreditation.

Dr. Wright has been a member of the VSB faculty since 2004 and has been serving as the chairperson of the Management and Operations department since 2010. He earned his PhD in Operations Management and Decision Sciences from Indiana University Bloomington. Prior to earning his PhD, he served as Operations Manager for Aerodyne Corporation, an FAA-certified aircraft repair company.

Dr. Wright brings with him a strong portfolio of research, winning several prestigious awards and serving on the editorial board of Decision Sciences. He has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in teaching and comes into this role with experience supervising faculty, managing curricular and faculty processes, and a strong working knowledge of VSB and University policies and practices.
