Philadelphia, PA, May 2, 2013 – Pepper Hamilton LLP partners Joseph V. Del Raso ’74 VSB and John P. Duke, and Freeh Group International Solutions (FGIS) Chief Executive Officer James R. Bucknam spoke at an April 16 event at Villanova University.
The event, which is part of the Law and Business Leaders Lecture, was titled “New Paradigms in Law and Business: Managing Disruptive Change and Preparing for the Future,” and was sponsored by the Villanova Law Review and the Villanova School of Business Center for Marketing and Public Policy Research (CMPPR). The discussion focused on navigating the new demands required by clients for professional legal and consultancy services. Specifically, Messrs. Del Raso, Bucknam and Duke discussed how Pepper Hamilton’s acquisition of the Freeh Group served as a value-added, differentiated reaction to cost and pricing pressures in a competitive marketplace.
CMPPR Director John Kozup commented on the impact of the program: “We are committed to preparing our business and law students for the disruptive business environment that has clients placing increasing pressure on the value of professional services. Villanova JD/MBA students will have a unique perspective and skillset that will give them a competitive advantage in the marketplace.”
