VSB Professor Dave Shaffer

The MSF Fellows program is a competitive graduate assistantship program that allows students to pursue their MSF degree with reduced tuition charges, while obtaining a realistic view of academic research. Many of our past Fellows have pursued their PhD after their experience at VSB.

Fellows are incoming MSF students selected to assist VSB faculty with their research activities during the fall and spring semesters. The Fellows work under the supervision of the finance faculty member to whom they are assigned for 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.

Fellows may not be engaged in additional employment or an internship while participating in the program.

Tuition Remission and Stipend

MSF Fellows are provided 50% or 100% remission of tuition and fees in the fall and spring semester. Additionally they will receive a stipend of $1,714 a month, totalling $15,426 for the academic year.
