The Center for Marketing and Consumer Insights plays an active supporting role in the greater University’s pursuit of excellence in graduate education and faculty scholarship. This includes investing in programs that enhance Villanova’s national reputation through scholarship and thought leadership. Each year, CMCI offers university-wide seminars on cutting-edge research topics. In addition, CMCI sponsors a scholarly research speaker series featuring high profile scholars from leading universities around the world.
A core component of the CMCI Thought Leadership initiative is the yearly faculty research seminars. These seminars are attended by social science scholars from across the university (i.e. psychology, communications, information systems sociology, etc.) and focus on how data collection is rapidly changing in the social sciences. New research tools are shared that enhance data quality while driving down costs. In conjunction with the seminar series, CMCI awards research grants to encourage faculty and graduate students to explore innovative new methodologies for conducting research.
CMCI also sponsors visits from renowned marketing scholars globally that spend time with Villanova faculty and students. This visiting scholar series enhances the reputation of Villanova and provides exposure for our students and faculty to some of the world’s leading thought leaders in marketing.
