The Herbert G. Rammrath Endowed Fund for Global Initiatives and International Scholarships in the Villanova School of Business provides financial resources to support global programs and underwrite student scholarships. Scholarships support international students attending VSB as well as Villanova students’ participation in a study abroad experience. CGL oversees and administers this fund and is grateful for the generous philanthropy of Rammrath.
This year, the scholarship was expanded to include MBA students funding programs in Italy, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Vietnam and the UAE. Five international students hailing from the UAE, Panama, Guatemala and Vietnam benefitted from the scholarship. Summer programming included student support in China and Chile while Fall semester scholarships sent students to Brazil, Italy, France and Spain. Spring recipients are currently studying in Spain, Argentina, Japan and the UK.
Once a year, Rammrath travels to campus to meet with the students in an intimate setting to personally engage them in conversation about their international experiences. The students are always eager to discuss these transformative experiences and to thank their donor in person, as well as providing a hand written thank you note upon acceptance of the scholarship funding.
