Please join us for our inaugural Business Analytics in Sports Conference on Friday, April 27th 2018. The Philadelphia sports landscape has quickly become known as a hotbed for adopting analytics use across business and team operations.
The Center for Business Analytics at VSB will be hosting top executives from our local teams to discuss current use-cases and business opportunities gained through an analytics-forward approach to areas such as marketing, ticket sales, sponsorship collaborations and contract negotiations.

“Blockchain: What It Is and Why It Matters." Attendees will learn about blockchain’s origins, its underlying concepts, and disruptive potential across business and society. We’ll explore high-value use cases and summarize the activities of major players – from open source communities and startups to corporates, government agencies and major IT providers. We’ll close with a description of commercial, legal, regulatory and technology challenges faced in turning visions into reality.
Susan Ramonat is the Founder and CEO of Spiritus Partners. Spiritus enables Next Generation Service Records providing assurance that safety, security and compliance measures have been taken across an asset's or facility’s operating life in such critical sectors as healthcare, life sciences, energy, and power. Susan speaks frequently at industry conferences and universities about blockchain, cybersecurity and IOT in critical infrastructure settings.

VSB’s Center for Business Analytics will host an evening with executives and Villanova alum across the industry as they discuss opportunities using analytics, business intelligence and artificial intelligence across their respective fields. The panel will include senior executives from Axalta Coating Systems, Barclaycard US, Bristol-Myers Squibb and HCL Technologies. They will discuss the importance of data use and strategy and the tools students should be aware of as they prepare for careers and internships across this quickly evolving landscape.
After the panel, please join us as we welcome additional Villanova alumni in analytics roles in local firms, as well as Center for Business Analytics Advisory Council members who hold senior roles in the analytics space for networking in the Bartley Hall Atrium.
