Students must apply for admission to the program. Submit the application form (see below) to Dr. Ellen Bonds, Director of the Writing and Rhetoric Program, English Department. Applicants who meet the admission requirements will be contacted by Dr. Bonds for an initial advising interview.
Students must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better to enroll in the Program. Students must maintain a 3.0 average in all program courses.
After successfully completing a Blackboard grammar/editing exam, a writing practicum or internship (for the concentration only), a clip-book (hardcopy) and web-based portfolio (optional), a successfully critiqued and revised entrance essay, student minors and concentrators will have met all the requirements of the program and receive notice on their transcript.
Students are required to attend two Writing and Rhetoric Program events over the course of their enrollment in the program.
