International Dissertation Research Grants

The International Dissertation Research Grants program is designed to support AAR student members whose dissertation research requires them to travel outside of the country in which their school or university is located.  Grants are intended to help candidates complete their doctoral degrees by offsetting costs of travel, lodging, and other dissertation research-related expenses.

Student Life

Graduate Theology Student Committee

The GTSC is an initiative of our graduate students with a common interest to serve the needs of fellow students by creating a community outside of the classroom and organizing academic, social, service, and worship opportunities.

Spiritual Growth

We are keenly aware of our students' desire to nourish their spiritual lives and encourage all to integrate their faith into the academic, social, and cultural environment of the university. You will find ample opportunity for spiritual growth and liturgical expression on campus. Reflecting traditions of Roman Catholic and Augustinian spirituality, Campus Ministry provides a wide range of opportunities for involvement, for example, in liturgies, service, or retreats.

Student Life

Student Life provides programs, activities, and services that advance the development of students on all levels—intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, culturally, socially, and physically—within a learning community committed to Catholic values and the spirit of St. Augustine.

Dining Services

Dining Services offer a wide variety of meal plans for all students at Villanova University

The Villanova Writing Center provides one-to-one session with a qualified tutor for graduate students who wish to improve their writing.

Learning Support

Villanova provides academic ("study skills") support services (workshops on, e.g., self-management, self-motivation, time management, effective study methods) to all graduate students designed to help students achieve academic success.

Research Funding

To support independent and/or collaborative research by graduate students, the Dean of Graduate Studies provides assistance in the form of Summer Research Fellowships and Conference Travel Grants.
