Studio Art Professors Return from Residency in Monaco

Tina Bizzarro, PhD, and Susan vonMedicus of the Department of Theatre and Studio Art recently returned from a residency at the Princess Grace Irish Library in Monaco, funded by the America Ireland Fund. The professors traveled to the Library to develop a team-taught course on Irish Illumination. Students in the course will learn about artistic heritage and the importance of early Irish art, while learning and practicing insular style calligraphy and how to mix and apply paints using historically accurate methods and decorative devises.

Artist and professor Elisabeth Nickles served as an Artist in Residency in Nepal.


Sr. Helen David Brancato Studies Kent

Sr. Helen David Brancato traveled to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland, OH to study a Corita Kent exhibit entitled "Someday is Now: The Art of Corita Kent" in August 2014. 


Fr. Richard Cannuli Presents Icon to Pope

Rev. Richard G. Cannuli, OSA, MFA, was commissioned by The Order of St. Augustine to create the icon as a gift to the Pope in celebration of the feast of St. Augustine.
