Our Russian Area Studies Program is served by administrators and professors with degrees from such institutions as the University of Pennsylvania, University of Notre Dame, Boston College, University of Lodz-Poland, Rutgers University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Fordham University. They participate in conferences within the U.S. and abroad; are members of national academic editorial and professional boards; are sought out as expert media commentators and have received numerous grants and awards. Their published research and teaching expertise covers wide-ranging aspects of Russian area studies such as Russian language and literature, comparative politics, international relations and economic policy, revolutionary movements and periods, religious thought and life, and historical biography.
