Go ahead! Major in Spanish!
- A major guarantees your fluency in the language (a minor does not). Graduating majors are given an ACTFL diploma of the level of their language skill (the RLL Department finances and conducts the exam).
- The major is not only language, but also gives students cultural literacy, an understanding that cultures are relative. Students are also taught intercultural commination as well.
- A major may make a difference in your acceptance ina graduate program or your employment in a job you are competing for.
