Internships providing academic credit through an outside work environment are not available. Students with an undergraduate degree in mathematics are prepared to enter into a variety of graduate programs such as finance and economics. The Mathematics Association of America has a "special interest group" SIGMMA of business, industry and government (BIG) mathematicians that may have information about careers in those areas for mathematicians.
