Villanova's Graduate Programs in Human Resource Development have been designed to accommodate the needs of all types of students. Campus courses are offered in the evenings and on weekends, allowing students to both work and pursue their education simultaneously.
On campus classes are scheduled from either 5:20-7:20pm or 7:30-9:30pm EST. Online courses are all scheduled from 8:30-10:30pm EST. All 3-credit on campus and online classes are scheduled once per week, Monday-Thursday, and run for 8 weeks at a time; 1.5-credit electives run for 4 weeks.
The Master of Science in Human Resource Development degree is a generalist program that provides students with a comprehensive overview of the HR field. The courses provide a practical environment where students have the opportunity to perform many of the business activities that practitioners regularly encounter.
Each of the four HRD certificates allow for students to develop a specialization in an area of HR. Certificates can be completed independently, or in conjunction with the MS degree. Click below to view details for each certificate.
For current Villanova undergraduates, we offer two combined Bachelors/Masters program options:
In both programs, students take both graduate and undergraduate courses during their senior year. Several graduate courses count for both graduate and undergraduate credit.
