Junior Research Seminar Presentations on American Music History

On Friday, Feb. 3, 2:30 p.m., History majors enrolled in Dr. Paul Rosier's Fall 2016 Junior Research Seminar summarized their research and discussed their website in Falvey Memorial Library to help launch "Music in Twentieth Century American History," Falvey’s latest Digital Scholarship project. In the class students examined the cultural, social, political, and economic dimensions of music in 20th Century American history, analyzing a variety of musical topics from the origins of jazz to the emergence of the Hip-Hop Nation and Rap, in particular at the intersections of race, class, gender, and sexuality.
