Villanova’s Ethics Debate had a remarkable weekend of competition, placing two teams in the top eight and one team reaching the championship round.  On December 1, the Ethics Program sent teams to Marist College to compete in the regional qualifier for the National Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl.  Debating an array of issues in applied ethics, including transracialism, gun control, and voting rights, Villanova went against 26 teams from throughout the northeast. With wins against Yale University in both the quarterfinals and semifinals, Villanova narrowly lost a tightly contested match against Tufts University in the championship.  With its outstanding performance, Villanova will earn one of 32 bids to Nationals to compete in March madness against the very best teams in the country. Congratulations to the Villanova Ethics Debate members:  Jonathan Mack, Jubilee Marshall, Vineeth Romiyo, Daniel Bannon, James Lyons, Erin Kelly, Spencer Hough, Nathan Brown, Timothy Byrne, and Anthony Berna.
