On March 16, 2017, Villanova University’s Department of Education & Counseling hosted a public lecture and discussion with Nicholas Kardaras, PhD, LCSW-R, about the effects of excessive screen time exposure on the brain development and behavior of children and youth.  Author of Glow Kids: How Screen Addiction is Hijacking our Kids and How to Break the Trance, Kardaras shared the latest clinical and brain imagining research, explored the sociological, economic, educational, and psychological factors that have led to the emergence of "the global tech epidemic," and raised implications for educators and parents.
