The Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development (PHENND) is a consortium of 33 colleges and universities in the greater Philadelphia area which works to strengthen Philadelphia's service & service learning communities.  PHENND provides updates of local events, resources, national conferences, grant, volunteer and job opportunities in the higher education and nonprofit sectors.

The Idealist website provides offers ways for to “do something good,” including job and internship listings, volunteer opportunities, and events.

Research for Action (RFA) is a Philadelphia-based, non-profit organization engaged in educational research, evaluation, and strategic advice.  Founded in 1992, we work with public school districts, postsecondary institutions, and educational and community organizations to improve the educational opportunities for those traditionally disadvantaged. 

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is a comprehensive, nonprofit, social service organization with headquarters in Philadelphia, Pa.  Since 1970, RHD has provided a wide range of human services for the most vulnerable members of our society. People with developmental disabilities, mental illness, addictions, and homeless individuals and families have all benefited from the compassionate care and support provided through RHD programs.

Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) is a nonprofit public health institute that builds healthier communities through partnerships with government, foundations, businesses and community-based organizations. It fulfills its mission to improve the health of the community by providing outreach, health promotion, education, research, planning, technical assistance, and direct services.
