Academics

With a history spanning over 70 years, the chemistry department provides a rigorous program for undergraduate and master’s level students. We have two advanced degree options including  a combined bachelors/masters of science, and a masters of science degree

Our faculty actively conduct research in diverse areas such as biochemical mechanisms, environmental chemistry, natural product synthesis, catalysis, and computational chemistry.  Research provides a unique opportunity to work closely alongside a faculty mentor gaining an experience that extends far beyond typical classroom learning.

The Villanova Chemistry Department strives to foster intellectual curiosity through our courses and student research opportunities in keeping with our Augustinian tradition.

While there are numerous factors to consider when choosing a program, you may wish to consder a few of our thoughts on Why Villanova could be the right fit for you.  We hope that you will join the extensive list of successful graduates from the Villanova Chemistry Department.
