Kirsten Eversen '18 CLAS, '19 MA

Kirsten Eversen

Kirsten Eversen ’18 CLAS, ’19 MA is looking forward to a busy May. The senior from Chester, NJ will finish her undergraduate classes, take her final exams, walk at graduation and then come back to head the 2018 Reunion Crew. She says she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Kirsten is a Communication and Psychology major in a five-year program, and will earn her Master’s in Communication next year. She currently works as a graduate assistant in the Alumni Relations office, where she specializes in communications and programming, and helps coordinate events around campus. Kirsten says the strength of the Nova Nation was an important factor that attracted her to Villanova—and it was reinforced when she witnessed the extraordinary enthusiasm that alumni, parents and friends displayed during the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.

Now, on the heels of another national championship, Kirsten is excited for her first experience working Reunion, May 31- June 3, 2018. She’ll oversee the student volunteers who run tours, staff events and help alumni during the festivities.

While this may be her first turn with the Reunion Crew, this isn’t her first leadership role at a Villanova alumni event. This fall, she oversaw more than 20 students during Homecoming. Kirsten expects a different experience this spring as the nostalgia and programming for Reunion create a fully immersive experience for attendees.

Kirsten is excited to connect with alumni when they return to campus, and she encourages Reunion attendees to take advantage of the Renovation Nation tours to see the new spaces on campus made possible through alumni support and philanthropy.

“The tours will give alumni an inside look to all the construction projects going on,” she says. “I’m sure a lot of alumni are especially familiar with the Finneran Pavilion renovation, as well as the Lancaster Avenue construction project. But there are many more changes that happened on campus, from classroom updates, to putting pavers in near Mendel Hall. It’s such an exciting time to be a student, so to come back as an alumni and reflect on all the changes they have contributed to making—I think that would be a highlight of the weekend for sure.”

Come back for Reunion! Enjoy a weekend of events and activities to commemorate your time as a Wildcat and to celebrate the future of the University. Graduates of class years ending in 3 or 8 will celebrate milestone Reunions with exclusive activities, and all alumni in all class years are welcome to attend! Learn more.
