LMA is focused on discovering new and sustainable digital business models that will allow local media companies to survive and thrive. This is accomplished via cutting-edge training programs, conferences, webinars, research & more. Lane leads a week-long Innovation Mission each year with senior executives from all over North America visiting companies such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram & more. Lane is also the author of more than a dozen industry reports over the past two years on a wide variety of subjects along with a popular “Disruption in Media” blog. She is a sought-after speaker at media association events around the world. A proud Villanova graduate, Lane spent 13 years in the newspaper industry as publisher, ad director and senior level executive in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Missouri before taking over LMA (formerly Suburban Newspapers of America) in 2000. Lane is an avid golfer, wine collector and fantasy football nut. She loves to travel (especially to Europe) and never misses a VU basketball game. She lives in beautiful downtown Chicago.
