Our Continued Partnership

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students:

I’m truly grateful for the warm welcome, trust and collaboration you've shown me and the IT Team over the past six months. As I reflect on this time, I’m incredibly proud of the progress we've made together. The IT Team has been working hard to align our efforts with Villanova’s strategic goals and I want to recognize and thank them for their commitment to Villanova.

This academic year, we've focused on fostering collaboration across campus, enhancing our services and support, improving cybersecurity and strengthening our digital infrastructure.

Fostering Collaboration:

Enhancing Services and Support:

  • Made enhancements to our IT Support Portal to make it easier to find assistance
  • Created new audience-based "Tech Toolkits" based on tools and services relevant to you
  • Modernized our Service Desk Contact Center to create a better real-time support experience

Improving Cybersecurity and Infrastructure:

  • Eliminated the password reset requirement to enhance your login experience (you will need to update your password one final time to meet the new security standards)
  • Launched a new, more robust password reset and identity portal for easier Villanova Account management
  • Updated look of Duo and standardizing on Mobile Push for a more consistent experience

Upcoming IT Initiatives:

  • We will be launching a new Zoom Virtual Agent (AI Chatbot) in April to provide robust 24/7 self-service support
  • We’re excited to announce a project to modernize Villanova’s phone system starting this Spring

Our goal is to ensure that technology empowers you whether in the classroom, doing research, or in daily operations. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve IT services and I’d love to hear your thoughts—feel free to reach out to me at tej.patel@villanova.edu.

We look forward to continuing our partnership and exploring new ways we can support and advance our University community together!

Best,
