Overview

The Employee Excellence Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of Technology Services staff and student workers who exemplify Villanova’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Rooted in the TechNova strategic vision and inspired by our Augustinian values, these awards honor individuals and teams who go above and beyond to enable exceptional digital experiences and learning.

 

Annual Awards

 

Honors a staff member who demonstrates visionary thinking and creative problem-solving to advance digital transformation and improve the Villanova experience. This member's knowledge and subject matter expertise provide innovative solutions to issues, often while improving the overall technical landscape at Villanova. Their work may not always be noticed by those outside of UTS, but their efforts keep the campus running smoothly.     

 

Recognizes a staff member who exhibits distinguished service or drives an extraordinary outcome, outside of the standard roles and responsibilities for the position. This member consistently drives impactful change while embodying the spirit of innovation and operational excellence in keeping with the mission of Technology Services and the Augustinian values of Villanova.  

 

Celebrates a core team whose collaborative efforts have significantly enhanced technology services, exemplifying unity, shared purpose, and exceptional outcomes for the campus community. These team members' actions positively impacted users across the University.

Awards Criteria

  • The nominee consistently demonstrates the RESTLESS values in their daily work and interactions.
  • The nominee has made a significant, positive impact on their team, department, or the broader Villanova community.
  • The nominee goes above and beyond their job responsibilities to drive innovation, foster collaboration, and support others.
  • The nominee’s actions have contributed to a culture of excellence, inclusion, and service within Technology Services.
  • The nominee has not received this award in the previous year or the Unitas Team Excellence Award in the same cycle.
