Meal Plans, Retreats, and Student Health Information
June 8, 2022
Villanova University and New Student Orientation will continue to send VU101 emails throughout the summer to keep you updated on important information and help prepare for your arrival. To view past emails, please visit the New Student Orientation website.
Meal Plan Selection
First-year students living on campus must select a meal plan by Sunday, June 19. Please review your options on the Dining Services Meal Plan website to make the best decision that suits your dining needs. Those who do not select a plan during the online registration period will be placed in the Any Time 7-Day plan.
Retreats for First-Year Students
Campus Ministry offers several special events just for first-year students. Our on-campus Connections Retreat, June 24–26, helps incoming students “connect” with each other; with sophomore, junior and senior leaders; and with Villanova’s Catholic, Augustinian heritage. Although all spaces are already filled for the Connections summer experience, students are encouraged to watch for news about the First-Year Escape Retreat, held one weekend in the fall and spring semesters. Students of any or no faith tradition are welcome.
Student Health Record and COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement—July 1 Deadline
All new undergraduate students must upload their Student Health Record into Villanova’s secure portal—Villanova.medicatconnect.com—no later than Friday, July 1, 2022.
Incoming students are required to have completed the primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine, which includes two shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or a single shot of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The University recommends that all new students also receive a COVID-19 booster, but a booster is not required at this time. The vaccine requirement applies to all new students who are enrolled in any in-person class for the 2022-23 academic year.
In the event that your primary series COVID-19 vaccine is not completed by July 1, 2022, upload your Student Health Record to Villanova’s portal as soon as the series is completed. Vaccine documentation will be part of each student’s health record through the Student Health Center. All documentation will be kept confidential.
