HIV and STI Testing

Confidential HIV testing, as well as testing for sexually transmitted diseases is available to students at the Student Health Center on an on-going basis.

Immunizations

The Student Health Center provides routine immunizations such as Tetanus, Diphtheria and Hepatitis A and B. In certain circumstances, the Student Health Center offers other immunizations. Please call the Student Health Center at 610-519-4070 with any questions. Students are financially responsible for the cost of the immunization.

Laboratory Testing

Laboratory testing is available through the Student Health Center when ordered by a Student Health Center provider or by an off- campus clinician. Lab fees are billed to the student’s account unless the student specifies otherwise.

Sick Visits

Sick visits will be offered in the Student Health Center after a phone screening is completed by a Health Center nurse or provider. These visits include, but are not limited to: cold, cough, respiratory infections, sore throat, skin disorders, minor injuries, concussions, and urinary tract infections (UTI).

Women’s Health

The nurse practitioners at the Student Health Center provide women’s health services such as annual gynecologic exams, evaluation and treatment of infection, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and pregnancy testing. Services are available by appointment Monday – Friday. Examinations are free of charge, though any laboratory testing or prescribed medications are the financial responsibility of the student.

In order to allow adequate time to your appointment, please indicate the nature of the appointment reason when speaking with the Student Health Center staff. Women’s health appointments can be made by calling the Student Health Center at 610-519-4070.

Because of the values of Villanova University as a Catholic, Augustinian school, the Student Health Center, as a matter of policy, does not provide materials on preventing conception or that encourage termination of pregnancy.
