Faculty and Staff Surveillance Testing Spring 2021
January 28, 2021
As the Spring 2021 semester begins, Villanova University will continue a program of surveillance testing to mitigate the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on campus. With the nation seeing new strains and more cases, we will increase surveillance testing beginning Monday, February 1.
Participation in this random-sampling surveillance testing is required for faculty, staff and students. Emails will be sent out on Fridays to alert those selected for testing. If you are selected for testing, this email will include further instructions on scheduling your appointment at the Finneran Pavilion.
Through surveillance testing, Villanova’s Student Health Center is able to make determinations about the level of spread in our community, identify asymptomatic cases for isolation and make timely decisions regarding intervention and response. We hope this process will allow us to have a full and healthy semester on campus.
Thank you for all you’ve done—and continue to do—to keep our campus healthy and safe and put Community First.
