As the academic journey of the Villanova University Class of 2024 draws to a close, we pridefully celebrate the achievements, resilience and profound growth of our graduates. During their time at Villanova, these individuals embraced challenges, expanded their horizons and forged lasting connections within our vibrant community. Equipped with knowledge, compassion and a commitment to service, the Class of 2024 is ready to ignite change and make meaningful contributions to the world.

 

During the upcoming weeks, we will feature a selection of outstanding graduates and celebrate their achievements as part of the Class of 2024.

Jesus Martin Molinos ’24 CPS

Jesus Martin Molinos ’24 CPS
Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Information Systems and Technology.

Jesus Martin Molinos ’24 CPS will graduate with a degree in Information Systems and Technology. Martin came to the United States in 2013 when he was just 17 years old, but he had to suspend his college studies after completing just one semester due to limited finances and social support. In 2021, Martin decided to return to higher education while working a full-time job. He graduated magna cum laude with an associate’s degree in May 2022 and decided to pursue his bachelor’s degree at Villanova's College of Professional Studies. Following graduation, Martin plans to continue his studies and pursue an MBA.

Céire Kealty ’20 MTS, ’24 PhD

Céire Kealty ’20 MTS, ’24 PhD
PhD in Theology

Céire Kealty ’20 MTS, ’24 PhD studies the spiritual and ethical aspects of clothing production, consumption and disposal. Through her PhD work in Theology, she explores the theological insights and practical resources to address issues in the global garment industry. Céire received the Susan G. Perry Award from the College Theology Society in 2023. After completing her PhD, she plans to pursue a public-facing career related to garment worker justice and environmental advocacy.

Luz Escobar Zapata '24 CLAS

Luz Escobar Zapata '24 CLAS
Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Justice Studies

Luz Escobar Zapata '24 CLAS was a Poderosa Fellow majoring in Peace and Justice Studies. Last summer, Luz completed a self-designed, six-week internship and attended the PPIA Junior Summer Institute in Seattle, WA. Additionally, she produced a photography project in Mexico City that highlighted Latina stories and art. Upon graduation, Luz plans to move to Washington D.C to pursue a career that aligns with her passion for social justice.

Caillean Daily '24 JD

Caillean Daily '24 JD

Caillean Daily '24 JD plans to use her law degree toward a career in service to veterans. During her summers, she interned as a veterans’ unit intern at Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania and also served as a paralegal and summer associate at Klasko Immigration Law Partners. While at Villanova, she was a Dean's Merit Scholar and served as a legal extern for Community Legal Services in the home ownership and consumer rights unit, where she helped low-income Philadelphians. After graduation, Caillean aims to pursue a career as a disability lawyer for veterans.

Bchara Sidnawi ’24 PhD

Bchara Sidnawi '24 PhD
PhD in Mechanical Engineering

Bchara Sidnawi '24 PhD has been actively involved in research throughout his PhD studies in Mechanical Engineering. He's published eight papers in top industry journals and has been the first author of six of those papers. In addition, he has two pending US patent applications and presented his research findings at 17 conferences during his time at Villanova. Following graduation, Bchara will pursue a career in academia and continue his research endeavors.

Jenna Cicalo '24 VSB
Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance

As a Finance major in the Villanova School of Business, Jenna Cicalo '24 VSB has built a strong foundation through her undergraduate studies that will prepare her for a successful career. During her time at Villanova, Jenna had the opportunity to explore and cultivate her interests, including serving as an intern in the US House of Representatives, as a VSB peer tutor, and as a Special Olympics Fall Festival Committee member. Kaya Robinson '24 COE

Kaya Robinson '24 COE
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Kaya Robinson '24 COE, a Presidential Scholar majoring in Mechanical Engineering, has built an impressive resume throughout her time at Villanova. Kaya has been named a Lockheed Martin STEM Scholar, a Purdue Pathways Scholar and a Center for Faith and Learning Scholar. She has also served as the president of the Villanova Consulting Group and as a senator for the Villanova chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. Kaya is also a beloved member of Villanova Voices and Villanova Singers. After graduation, Kaya will continue her journey at Villanova and pursue a Master of Science in Sustainable Engineering.

Francois D'Elia '24 MSF

Francois D'Elia '24 MSF
Master of Science in Finance

Francois D’Elia '24 MSF built upon his undergraduate degree in Finance by pursuing graduate studies at the Villanova School of Business. At Villanova, Francois worked as a graduate research assistant in the Master of Science in Finance Fellowship Program and as an equity research analyst for the Haley Large Cap Fund. After graduation, he will relocate to Washington, D.C., to begin his career as a financial analyst.  

Cody Mitchell '24 FCN

Cody Mitchell '24 FCN
Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing

Cody Mitchell '24 FCN decided to pursue his passion for nursing after working as a care coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Choosing Villanova to further his education, Cody has exemplified leadership and dedication as a student, being selected as a Conway Scholar, acting as president of the Student Nurses Association (SNAP), and serving as director of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). Following graduation, he plans to return to New York City to work as an orthopedic nurse.

Stef Allen ‘24 CLAS

Stef Allen '24 CLAS
Major: Chemistry

A Goldwater Scholar and Chemistry major, Stef Allen ‘24 CLAS has built a passion for chemistry and its applications in the real world, including how green chemistry can transform agriculture, sustainability and food security—and ultimately impact countless lives. While at Villanova, she was awarded an Undergraduate Research Fellowship and studied abroad in Germany, where her fieldwork in the Swiss Alps fortified her resolve to pursue a research career. Following graduation, Stef plans to pursue a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry.
